Well some days before an “event”
That happened during skiing
I had taken a walk outside
Near the lake that had been iced over once like this:
No go,
You understand
Like, 2024 ice here:
No walking out there please,
Obviously,
However, one day
I saw a hockey game out there
Out closer to the far dock,
You understand
The signs say, I recall,
“Do not go on ice”
Couple of them, if memory serves,
Who was playing hockey on the ice that day?
Jan 2025, thereabout, pre 1/20 ski day,
They came with a coach
And two teams
And right out there on the remote part
Of that ice lake,
For a day, one day alone,
Which is strange to look at in memory,
Ok,
Because how is it a full game of ice hockey is taking place on this super sketchy ice,
You understand
Like, who and when?
Would threaten children so casually
A big hockey question,
Because that’s usually Canadian
And in Freehold that means untouchable in the extreme,
And where is it they come from
Because really they should not be out there…
This is 1/17/25
Ice is thicker than ‘24
But that’s as far as I got
You understand,
With the pole again
Ice hockey in question took place
To left and behind of this Island here,
You understand again,
Who checks ice and how?
What device?
