I even went to one
But I was not from there
And back then
Two decades ago
Coming from sports town, USA
With all of the weirdness verily,
Still Freehold was third world then,
The “no football” town
Lacrosse had just come around,
The town with two high schools,
That had a hard time competing
Like in anything at all
Because they’re jail-like wastes
With no sports culture
And indifferent people
Again and again
And then the criminals within,
Have always been:
Like this again and again:

Can you imagine having to have this “woman’s” name on your report card?
Like forever, in your files
Just sulfurous and vile
Who the hell let it in?
